Recruiting skilled international employees: The requirements of recruiting have increased for many businesses due to the limited availability of skilled employees caused by demographic changes. Recruiting skilled international employees can be a way to fill current or future positions in your company.
Welcoming culture: An essential aspect of starting out well with and developing a long-term bond for your international employees is a well-established welcoming culture at your company. The establishment of such structures leads to these employees identifying more with your company, having higher motivation, and a broader feeling of contentment. The Rhine-Neckar Welcome Center would be glad to help you with the planning and establishment of a welcoming culture for your company.
Integration: We attempt to further reduce the pressure on employers by assisting skilled international employees in orienting themselves in Germany. The Rhine-Neckar Welcome Center has networked with a diverse array of organizations to advance the idea that proper integration into the day-to-day life of the new business and social environments is a major building block of a well-established welcoming culture.
Our current networking projects:Tandem partners: The Rhine-Neckar Welcome Center offers free tandem partner pairing between native German speakers and skilled international workers from all over the world. Having a tandem partner is one of the ways to deepen your knowledge of a foreign language, since native speakers of two different languages communicate directly with each other and can help each other learn. Seminar Program: In cooperation with the city of Heidelberg’s Amt für Wirtschaftsförderung und Beschäftigung and the AUSBILDUNGSHAUS, The Rhine-Neckar Welcome Center offers Seminars to help international workers get to know their new community a bit better. In addition to the interesting excursions in the region, there are regular informational events on the topics of orientation, employment, taxes, and insurance. If you are interested, you can register here. “Bridging the gap” for international economists: Many people who come to us from foreign countries are often not well integrated into the local employment market, despite having a university degree. In order to counter this situation, the city of Mannheim, in cooperation with the IQ Netzwerk Baden-Württemberg, the Graduate School Rhine-Neckar and the Rhine-Neckar Welcome Center, developed this qualification program with the goal of simplifying participants integration into the local employment market and increasing their chances of finding a fitting position.
