On the one hand regional companies have an increasing demand for qualified employees, that in future will hardly be covered by domestic workers alone.
On the other hand there are many international professionals who have great opportunities and a lot to discover in our region.
Attracting international skilled workers and academics can be a way of counteracting the challenge of skills shortages and maintaining the competitiveness of the regional economy.
Against this background, the State Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing has founded ten Welcome Centers in Baden-Württemberg. We are one of them:
The Welcome Center Rhine-Neckar
We accompany local small and medium-sized enterprises during the recruitment and integration of international employees, and we welcome all professionals who come to our region from abroad. As part of the Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar the Welcome Center contributes to making the region known amongst internationals as an attractive place to live and work. We see ourselves as intermediaries and facilitators with a strong network of relevant actors in the fields of recruitment and integration.

The Welcome Center Rhine-Neckar is a joint institution of the cities of Mannheim and Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar district. It offers consulting in different locations in the whole region.
