The Welcome Center Rhine-Neckar – The one-stop shop for companies and international skilled workers
The Welcome Center Rhine-Neckar supports companies in the region and international skilled workers about integration into the German labor market.
- Do you have questions about recruiting and incorporating international employees into your company?
- Are you looking for information on arrival, residence, German courses, job search, application and recognition of foreign professional qualifications as an international skilled worker?
We will be happy to support you with any of these topics and will connect you with the appropriate contact persons. We see ourselves as intermediaries and facilitators with a strong network of relevant actors in the fields of recruitment and integration.
According to the Skilled Immigration Act (FEG), following persons are considered as skilled workers:
“1. Persons who have either completed qualified vocational training in Germany (for which a training period of at least two years is generally required) or persons who have acquired a vocational qualification abroad which has been recognised as equivalent to German qualified vocational training. Shorter foreign vocational training courses may be considered equivalent to qualified vocational training in Germany if the training does not differ substantially or if these differences have been compensated for.
2. Persons with a higher education degree which is comparable to a higher education degree in Germany.”
The counseling services of the Welcome Center Rhine-Neckar are offered in cooperation with the city of Mannheim, Heidelberger Dienste gGmbH and the District Office Rhein-Neckar-Kreis and are free of charge. Counseling appointments can be requested in person, by phone or online. Please use our registration form for this purpose.
